Ingredients
Method
- In a large resealable bag, combine the flour, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Shake the bag well to mix the spices thoroughly.
- Add chicken pieces in small batches of ten, sealing the bag and shaking to coat each piece completely.
- Place the coated nuggets on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for 20 minutes to set the breading.
- Heat 3 inches of vegetable oil in a large stockpot or Dutch oven to 360°F.
- Fry the chicken in small batches for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, whisk together butter, hot sauce, brown sugar, honey, and vinegar until emulsified.
- Toss the fried nuggets in the sauce until evenly coated and serve immediately.
Notes
Ensure oil temperature remains consistent at 360°F to prevent soggy breading. Do not overcrowd the pot while frying to maintain temperature. Serve with a side of ranch or celery sticks for a classic pub experience.
