Ingredients
  

  • Ground Beef, 1 pound
  • Cream of Mushroom Soup, 1 can
  • Sour Cream, 1 cup
  • Cheddar Cheese, 2 cups
  • Frozen Tater Tots, 32 ounces
  • Onion, 1 medium

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
  2. Grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish
  3. Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned (5–7 minutes)
  4. Add diced onion and spices (garlic powder, paprika, cayenne)
  5. Drain excess fat from the beef mixture
  6. Combine cooked beef, onion, soup, and sour cream in a bowl until smooth
  7. Sprinkle 1 cup cheddar cheese over the beef mixture in the greased dish
  8. Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer on top
  9. Sprinkle remaining 1 cup cheddar cheese over the tater tots
  10. Bake for 30 minutes until golden and bubbling

Notes

Substitute ground turkey for beef for a lighter version
Use dairy-free soup and sour cream for a vegan alternative
