Method
- Dissolve strawberry Jell-O in boiling water.
- Crush pretzels into coarse texture.
- Melt butter with 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tsp vanilla, then stir in remaining 1/2 cup sugar.
- Press pretzel mixture into a 13x9-inch pan.
- Spread melted butter-sugar mixture over pretzel crust, bake at 350°F for 10 minutes, and cool.
- Pour Jell-O solution evenly over crust.
- Chill Jell-O layer for 30 minutes.
- Freeze strawberry slices for 10 minutes, then spread over chilled Jell-O.
- Chill 45+ minutes before slicing.
