Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (7-8 oz each)
  • 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 8 slices turkey ham (halal)
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 6 ounces stuffing mix
  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Method

  1. Whisk the cream of chicken soup, milk, melted butter, and Dijon mustard in a medium bowl until smooth.
  2. Spray the slow cooker basin thoroughly with non-stick spray.
  3. Spread 3/4 cup of the soup mixture across the bottom of the slow cooker.
  4. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper and place them over the sauce layer.
  5. Top each chicken breast with 2 slices of turkey ham and 1 slice of Swiss cheese.
  6. Pour the remaining sauce mixture over the chicken breasts.
  7. Sprinkle the stuffing mix evenly over the top of the chicken.
  8. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours until the chicken is tender and cooked through.

Notes

Ensure the turkey ham is certified halal. For extra texture, you can toast the stuffing mix lightly in a pan before sprinkling it on top if you prefer a crunchier crust.
