Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup Panko bread crumbs
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons extra butter (melted for crumbs)
  • Optional: fresh herbs like parsley or dill

Method

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water with Old Bay seasoning to a rolling boil
  2. Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, 2-3 minutes. Drain and set aside
  3. In a bowl, combine shrimp with mayonnaise, garlic powder, black pepper, mozzarella, and cheddar
  4. Spoon mixture into a greased casserole dish and spread evenly
  5. Melt 2 tablespoons butter, mix with Panko bread crumbs. Sprinkle over shrimp filling
  6. Optional: Top with fresh herbs
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake 20 minutes until golden and bubbling

Notes

Thawed frozen shrimp works well
Use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise for a lighter option
Substitute fresh minced garlic for garlic powder
Use margarine instead of butter if needed
Regular bread crumbs can replace Panko
Provolone cheese is a suitable alternative for mozzarella
