- Group slices evenly by thickness (remove tough core sections)
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat
- Add brown sugar and cinnamon, stirring until dissolved
- Toss pineapple pieces in the caramelized mixture until coated
- Drizzle non-alcoholic rum extract around the edges of the skillet
- Simmer gently for 5-7 minutes until pineapple is tender and glaze thickens
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract
