Method
- Whisk butter and sugar until smooth
- Add vanilla extract and milk, mix thoroughly
- Divide dough into portions, tint each with different gel colors
- Chill dough for 15 minutes
- Scoop and shape 24 dough balls, spacing on parchment-lined baking sheets
- Bake 15 minutes at 350°F
- Let cool completely
- Sandwich with fillings: cream cheese frosting, preserves, or Nutella
- Repeat for remaining cookies
