Method
- Grab 6 zip lock bags and add 3 tablespoons of sugar to each
- Drizzle a small amount of gel food coloring into each bag (1-2 drops for vibrant hues)
- Seal bags and press to mix sugar until fully colored
- Cool each sugar batch in the refrigerator for 5-10 minutes to firm slightly
- Divide popped popcorn into six equal portions, placing each in separate bowls
- Coat each popcorn portion with its corresponding colored sugar (3-4 tbsp per bowl)
- Garnish with a pinch of salt per color or to taste
- Serve in layered mason jars or mixed in a translucent bowl for gradient effect
