- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
- Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl
- Beat softened butter until fluffy, gradually add sugars
- Beat in eggs and vanilla extract until emulsified
- Alternate dry ingredients into wet mixture in 3 batches
- Divide dough into 4 portions, tint each with food coloring
- Fold colored dough together and press into balls
- Place 8-10 cookies on parchment-lined sheets
- Bake 10-12 minutes until edges are golden
