- Measure 1 ¾ cups warm water (110°F or 45°C) into the bread machine’s mixing bowl
- Add 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, 1 ½ teaspoons sugar, and 1 teaspoon salt
- Sprinkle 4 cups bread flour over the liquids
- Sprinkle 2 teaspoons yeast directly on top of the flour or in a small flour well
- Secure the bowl according to your machine’s manual
- Place the bowl into the bread machine and select the Basic/White setting
- Choose the 2 lb loaf and light crust option
- Close the machine securely and start the cycle
- Let the machine complete mixing, rising, and baking the loaf
