Ingredients

  • Pie Crust (store-bought or homemade, gluten-free option available)
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese (or vegan alternative)
  • 1 cup Sugar (or 1.5 cups maple syrup for a vegan or halal option)
  • 1 package Gelatin (or 5g agar-agar powder for a vegan option)
  • 1 cup Whipped Cream (or coconut cream for a vegan/halal option)
  • Food Coloring (optional) or fruit purees for natural coloring
  • Decorative Toppings (optional, such as metallic glitter)
  • Fresh fruit (optional for topping)

Method

  1. Pre-bake the pie crust according to the package instructions, then let it cool completely.
  2. In separate bowls, mix the cream cheese, sugar (or maple syrup), and gelatin (or agar-agar) for each desired color of the layer.
  3. Add food coloring or fruit puree to each bowl until the color is vibrant, then blend until smooth.
  4. Pour the first layer into the cooled pie crust and chill for 30 minutes until set.
  5. Repeat with the remaining layers, ensuring each one is fully set before adding the next.
  6. Before serving, spread a layer of whipped cream or coconut cream over the top.
  7. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

Chill the crust fully before adding layers to avoid melting the cream cheese mixture.
Blend the gelatin or agar thoroughly to prevent lumps.
Use a round dish for a professional layered appearance.
Freeze fully chilled pie for up to 1 month for extended storage.
