Ingredients
  

  • Butter or coconut oil (1/2 cup)
  • Honey or agave syrup (1/2 cup)
  • Cane sugar (1 cup)
  • Sweetened condensed milk (1 can, 14 oz)
  • Flour (2 cups)
  • Salt (1/2 tsp)
  • Licorice extract (1 tsp)
  • Kool-Aid powder (1 packet)
  • Beetroot juice (1 tbsp, optional)

Method
 

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine butter/coconut oil and honey in a saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Stir until melted and smooth.
  4. Add sugar and sweetened condensed milk, mixing until thickened (5-7 minutes).
  5. Remove from heat and stir in salt, licorice extract, and Kool-Aid powder.
  6. Add beetroot juice for color (optional), then pour onto parchment.
  7. Scoop into 12 equal portions using a measuring cup.
  8. Roll each portion into ropes on a floured surface until smooth.
  9. Let cool completely before storing.

Notes

Use coconut oil and agave for dairy-free/vegan options.
Substitute almond/coconut flour for gluten-free.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
