Ingredients
Method
- Boil 8 cups of water and cook eggs for exactly 7 minutes
- Transfer eggs to an ice water bath for 5 minutes then peel and set aside
- Cook beef bacon in a dry skillet over medium-low heat until crisp
- Remove bacon, reserving the rendered fat in the pan
- Whisk vinegar, Dijon mustard, and sugar into the warm rendered beef fat in the pan
- Slowly whisk in the extra-virgin olive oil to create an emulsified dressing
- Toss the frisée with a portion of the warm dressing
- Divide the dressed greens among plates
- Top with shredded chicken, beef bacon, tomato wedges, avocado quarters, and halved boiled eggs
- Drizzle with remaining dressing and serve immediately
Notes
Ensure eggs are at room temperature before boiling to prevent cracking. Use red wine vinegar as a non-alcoholic substitute for sherry vinegar. Keep avocado pits in the salad if not serving immediately to prevent browning.
