Ingredients
Method
- Preheat your oven to 400˚F.
- Remove the chicken from the refrigerator 20 minutes before cooking to allow for even heat distribution.
- Grease a large baking dish or rimmed baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
- Pat the chicken pieces thoroughly dry using paper towels to ensure crispy skin.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and oregano.
- Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over all sides of the chicken pieces.
- Place the chicken in the prepared baking dish in a single layer.
- Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches a safe 165˚F and the skin is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, let rest for 5 minutes, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve.
Notes
Patting the chicken skin completely dry is the key to achieving that signature crispy texture. If you are short on time, do not skip the 5-minute resting period as it allows the juices to redistribute for maximum moisture. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
