Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 8-10 whole or sliced pepperoncini peppers
  • 1/2 cup pepperoncini juice
  • 1 ounce ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 ounce halal-certified au jus gravy mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cubed

Method

  1. Spray your slow cooker interior with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Place chicken breasts in a single layer at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. Arrange pepperoncini peppers evenly over the chicken.
  4. Pour the pepperoncini juice over the chicken.
  5. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning and au jus gravy mix evenly over the surface.
  6. Top with cubed butter.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours until the chicken is tender and shreds easily.

Notes

Ensure the au jus gravy mix is halal-certified as specified. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Use a fork to shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker before serving to coat it in the juices.
