- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into individual triangles
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the softened cream cheese, eggs, milk, shredded cheese, ham or substitute, jalapeño (if using), parsley, and ground pepper
- Add the crescent roll triangles to the bowl and gently toss to coat them in the mixture
- Layer the coated triangles into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, slightly overlapping as needed
- Bake for 30–40 minutes, or until golden and bubbly
- Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving

If using frozen crescent rolls, allow them to thaw slightly before unrolling.
