- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
- In a large bowl, mix cake mix, eggs, oil, and vanilla extract as per package instructions
- Pour brownie batter into a greased 8x8-inch baking pan
- Bake for 22 minutes
- While brownies are baking, whisk pudding mix with cold milk until thick
- Mash 1 ripe banana into the pudding mixture, then stir in remaining banana and whipped topping
- Pour puddings over the warm brownies
- Sprinkle crushed vanilla wafers on top
- Let cool to room temperature before refrigerating overnight
- Serve in 16 slices
