Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 4 medium mashed bananas (overly ripe)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 optional egg (or flax egg)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix almond flour, baking soda, sea salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Mash bananas until smooth, then stir in maple syrup and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients; fold in optional egg, then chocolate chips and nuts.
  5. Scoop dough into rounded tablespoons on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake 26 minutes or until golden edges form.

Notes

Use flax egg (1 tbsp ground flax + 3 tbsp water) for a vegan option.
Customize with add-ins like raisins, dried fruit, or shredded coconut.
Store in an airtight container for 5 days or freeze for 3 months.
