Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. Mix the paprika, dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  3. Pound the chicken breasts between two sheets of parchment paper until they reach an even thickness.
  4. Place the chicken in a baking dish and pat the surface dry with paper towels.
  5. Drizzle the olive oil over the meat and rub to coat all surfaces.
  6. Apply the spice mixture generously over both sides of each chicken breast.
  7. Bake for 13-16 minutes for 5-6 ounce pieces until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
  8. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Ensure chicken breasts are of similar size for even cooking. Smoked paprika can be used for a deeper flavor. Italian seasoning is a fine substitute for dried oregano. If the chicken is larger than 6 ounces, add 2-3 extra minutes to the baking time.
